Perfectly Pure Organic Argan Oil

Organic Argan Oil from Perfectly Pure is my favourite product ever. I bought it at Vitamin World for a decent price because I heard about how great it is (some people call it "liquid gold). Argan oil is from Morocco and is the main source of income for the Berber women in the southern region. It can be used on your hair, nails, and skin.
I noticed that in one week, it transformed my skin completely. Not only did it get rid of some pimples I had, but it also moisturized my face and left it glowing. When I got a sunburn, I put this oil on and the next morning it had faded into a nice brown tan. Apparently it has age-defying qualities so I will continue using it as my moisturizer in order to prevent wrinkles.
For my hair it left it softer and got rid of my split ends. I heard that over a period of time it also strengthens hair. My nails feel stronger already.
I recommend this product to absolutely everybody.. Trust me, you will love it!

Sephora Endless Color Blockbuster Palette

One of the most valuable makeup I've ever bought was the Sephora Endless Color Blockbuster palette. It has 187 different products, at a $435 value, but it costs only $48 for a limited time! I was so excited to experiment with all the colours when I first bought it.

In the set, there are both colourful and conservative eyeshadows, depending on what event you're going to. They all blend well together, and last for a very long time so you don't have to reapply. There are also a variety of lip glosses, but I didn't like them as much as the eye shadows. The colours are barely noticeable on my lips, unless I put a lot on. To me, they're more like really cheap lip glosses than something bought from Sephora. As for the blushes, I liked them a lot. They were long lasting and felt light. However, I don't suggest using them as bronzer. Just use a little bit on the apples of your cheeks, for some colour. The eyeliners are light, but they don't crumble or smudge so that's really good if you're going for a classy look. Lastly, the brushes are wonderful, except I suggest using a larger one for blush.

For such a huge amount of makeup and a really low price, I definitely suggest buying it!  Like I said, it is long-lasting so you don't have to waste any for reapplication. Happy shopping! =)

Olay Luscious Embrace Cleansing Body Wash

Recently I purchased a body wash from Olay's new line of body products. There are three new collections, Luscious Embrace, Silk Whimsy, and Purely Pristine. I went with Luscious Embrace because it has exotic scents of orchids, papaya, blackberry, and black currant. The product I decided to try was the Cleansing Body Wash.

I was somewhat disappointed because I heard a lot of great reviews about the new line, and it failed to have the effect on me that was promised. It would barely lather, even with a wet loofah. After two weeks I had to throw my loofah away because it had completely dried out and was rough. No body washes that I used before did this. I use moisturizer, but my skin needed double the amount because it was so dry. Also it is filled with chemicals like sodium laureth sulfate, artificial colouring and fragrance. The steam in my shower would make the scent very strong, but instead of relaxing and feeling cleansed from exotic ingredients, I felt like I was breathing in chemicals.

Overall, the only people I would recommend this product to are people who have oily skin or extreme sweating due to how drying it is. Also, maybe it would work better with the Luscious Embrace Body Lotion so if you're willing to buy both, go ahead and try it! (:

Burt's Bees Sun Protecting Lip Balm with Passionfruit

Summer is here, and it's time to protect yourself from the sun! Most people don't realize that you don't only need to protect your skin, but you should also remember to keep your lips safe. Last summer, my lips got chapped and dry from tanning outside, so I realized that if I'm going out in the sun, I need a lip balm with SPF.

Recently, I bought this Burt's Bees Sun Protecting Lip Balm with Passion Fruit, which is SPF 8. It provides UVA/UVB protection and keeps my lips moisturized and soft. It also smells great! I keep putting it on because it's so addictive! (:

It is 100% natural and one of my favourite products, but costs $4.49 so I recommend buying it for the summer only.

Avalon Organics Lavender Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner

I used to wash my hair with toxic shampoos and conditioners like Pantene, Herbal Essences, etc. But when I learned the dangers of chemicals like sodium lauryl sulfate and preservatives like parabens, I knew I needed a healthy alternative.

I tried Avalon Organics because it is an all natural product, with 70% from organic content and 100% vegetarian ingredients. Of course, I knew my hair wouldn't look as picture perfect as Pantene would make it, but I decided the risk was worth it.

The Lavender Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner leaves my hair feeling strong, healthy, shiny, and smells amazing! The shampoo lathers well. My hair doesn't get tangled but I must admit it felt brittle after the first couple of washes.

Our hair goes through a type of "detox" phase when switching to organic alternatives. It is similar to when we change to an organic facial cleanser, and your face detoxes by cleaning itself and leaving junk out on your face sometimes but soon it looks clean again. With hair, it feels brittle and dry after the switch, but once you're about halfway through the bottle, your hair gets used to it, and moisture gets restored. Make it a habit to use organic hair products, that way you don't always have to detox and will genuinely have healthier hair than most people out there. (Did you know that Herbal Essences uses petroleum, the oil used to run cars, in their products?) Remember, natural is beautiful and your hair will thank you for it!

Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips

Everybody's been wondering if Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips really work or if its just a scam, so hopefully this will answer your question.

My nose is entirely covered in blackheads, which is when your pores get plugged by excess oils, and the tips of those plugs turn black. It's disgusting, and makes me feel really self-conscious.

The nose strips did work on me, but only removed half of my blackheads. I don't know why it neglected so many others, but at least it took off some. After a couple of times, I noticed that I was removing more and more, so don't give up the first time! You can see all the junk pulled out of your skin on the nose strip, and it gives me a good feeling to know I cleaned so deeply!

I suggest trying it, because on some people it works really well. You can't decide off of reviews only, so definitely give it a try!

L'Oreal Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner

I recently purchased L'Oreal Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner because it's a new product and it seemed interesting to me how it could be both a liquid eyeliner and a pencil eyeliner. I was so impressed with it.. It is by far the best eyeliner out there!

It is a rich black, and feels creamy and soft when applying. I've tried pencil eyeliners that scratched my eyelids, and left only very soft marks. This could easily create a smoky eye, and was really intense like the name says. The tip is very precise, and lasts a long time, especially on the water line! The only problem is that sometimes it could look too heavy and smudged. That's a night time look, so I would definitely repurchase this product.

CHI Silk Infusion- Reconstructing Complex

Hair dilemma! I needed a cure for my coarse, frizzy hair and didn't want a product with alcohol in it to dry it out even more. I was looking for some kind of moisturizing leave-in treatment. I tried CHI Silk Infusion- Reconstructing Complex because it got really great reviews online and I'm familiar with a lot of other CHI products.

It works really well, leaving my hair shiny and smooth. If you put in a lot, then your hair gets really heavy and feels dirty so I only put a small amount into my palm. It adds a brilliance to my normally dull hair, and smells great too! My hair was easier to comb through and more manageable. It can also be used as a heat protectant with styling products.

The bottle lasts a long time because a little bit of product goes a long way.. However, it is expensive, about $14 CAD and can be found in salons or those hair product stores in malls.

Freeman Superfruits Rejuvenating Facial Moisturizer

This moisturizer was the cheapest at the drugstore, I'm being honest. That's the reason I got it, because my skin is normal. I don't get irritated by products or have any special skin needs, so I thought it would work well on me regardless of the low price.

Let me say, it moisturizes effectively. My face goes from being dry after a good cleanse or scrub, to feeling hydrated and fresh. It's heavy, so I definitely don't recommend it to people with oily skin. Sometimes it left my face feeling kind of clogged and like there was a mask on it. I used to use it every day but then started breaking out. Now I just use it maybe once or twice a week to restore extra moisture.

It smells really good, like fruits and flowers, and it's cheap. If you're looking for a heavy moisturizer, this is perfect, especially for those of you with dry skin!

M.A.C. Lipstick Creme D' Nude

When I first tried this lipstick on at M.A.C, I thought it was gorgeous and had a really nice, creamy texture. So I bought it for $20. It actually disappointed me, because for that price I expected something better. Instead, it made me look washed out after it lost its shine, and couldn't blend well into my lips. After 2-3 hours my lips looked chapped, and the lipstick began crumbling and filling into the cracks of my lips. It didn't stay on after I ate, either.

My first lipstick lasted from April - September, and the second one lasted from September - February so it is definitely long-lasting!

Maybe it is because of poor nutrition and a lack of water, and that's why my lips felt so dry from this. If you want to try this lipstick, I recommend putting it on after lip balm and re-applying often.

Rimmel London Natural Bronzer 027 Sun Dance

In the summer I tanned almost every day, and because I'm Eastern European, I got a really dark and long-lasting tan. In the fall it began to fade and by winter I was looking a bit pale.

I decided to try Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in the darkest shade, 027 Sun Dance. It is by far the cheapest bronzer out there, and the best-selling one in Canada. I thought it gave me a natural bronzed look, it didn't make me orange or anything. It was a shade of light brown and blended well into my skin.

My main problem with it was that it lasted only 3-4 hours. And instead of going to my natural shade, it left bronze blemishes in random parts of my face, making the rest of my face look even more pale.

Unless you're desperately trying to save on money, I wouldn't recommend this product.

Garnier Skin Naturals Vitamin-Enriched Toner

Every good facial skin care routine has a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. A lot of the people I know sometimes skip on toner, without realizing just how essential it is!

I use Garnier Skin Naturals Vitamin-Enriched Toner. It's refreshing, tightens my pores, and because it has no alcohol, it doesn't dry out my face. It's purely grape water and I've noticed that it leaves a slightly green tint to my face over a period of time and my face looks brighter. I actually like that because I don't get much sleep so this toner makes me look more natural and glowing. It is perfect if you have tired, dull complexions. After a while of usage, it clarified my skin tone and I didn't have as much discolouration and blemishes on my face.

I recommend this product to people with normal-combination skin. Don't use it if you're skin is dry because it might be too harsh. Those with oily skin should use an astrigent for more effective results.
Hope you enjoy!

Live Clean Fresh Water Moisturizing Intensive Leave-In Conditioner

My hair always had dry, split ends and felt rough all around. I knew that my conditioner wasn't doing enough, so I decided to look for a leave-in conditioner. Live Clean Fresh Water Moisturizing Intensive Leave-In Conditioner works wonders! I was surprised at how soft my hair felt and it was much more moisturized. Also, it made my hair easier to comb and tamed frizz. This conditioner makes my hair smell fresh, a light mixture of chamomile and rosemary. It can be used daily, or after you shampoo and conditioner your hair.

Live Clean is an excellent brand of hair care products. They're organic, pure vegan, and products don't contain sulphates, parabens, phthalates, DEA, etc. It's a gentle, plant-derived formula, so you can be assured you're not putting unnecessary chemicals in your precious hair!

I totally recommend it!
